The SPCA said Chico is a friendly, boisterous guy who will need to stay on the calm side for the next few months -- he's heartworm positive and has to stick to leash walks, nosework, food puzzles while he gets his treatments.  Chico is eligible for foster-to-adopt, which means he can receive the care he needs in a home instead of at the shelter, his heartworm treatment will be covered by the SPCA at its clinic.
