Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie announced a joint effort with Gov. Andrew Cuomo to put money in next year's budget to allow districts to provide for full day kindergarten. Maloney, whose 18th district includes parts of Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Orange counties, announced his proposed Housing Our Heroes Act in front of a "zombie" home in Newburgh.
