DUI Lower Township Teen Driver Charged In Deadly Route 9 Crash A 19-year-old Lower Township resident was arrested after he drove drunk in a crash that killed a 56-year old man on Thursday, Oct. 1, authorities said. Edward McVey is charged with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and assault by auto, driving under the influence, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Lower Township Police Chief Donald Vanaman Jr. said. McVey collied with a vehicle with two occupants, killing a 56-year-old man and seriously injuring a 36-year-old man on Route 9 in Lower Township, authorities said. The victim has not been identified.

William Barringer pleaded guilty to possession of child sexual exploitation materials, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said. Per the terms of a plea agreement, he faces a three-year prison sentence, authorities said. Last October, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Barringer's residence, seizing a tablet that contained at least 1,000 images depicting the sexual exploitation or abuse of a child, authorities said.
