Vehicle Rolls Over In Crash On Busy Main Road In Westchester Crews had to clean debris from a busy Westchester roadway following a two-vehicle crash that left one car flipped on its side.  The crash happened on Tuesday, Aug. 20 just before 7 p.m., when two cars collided at the intersection of Main Street and South Broadway (Route 9) in Irvington, the Irvington Volunteer Fire Department said on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The drivers were able to get themselves out of the vehicles and were later evaluated by EMS crews.  After around 45 minutes, all of the debris from the crash was cleaned from the roadway, the department said.

SUV Goes Up In Flames On Road In Northern Westchester A vehicle blaze that went up on a residential street in Northern Westchester was stopped from damaging nearby homes thanks to quick efforts from firefighters.  The incident happened on Monday, Aug. 19 just before 9:30 a.m., when an SUV went up in flames on lower Brook Street in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department.  Arriving crews stretched a hose line to both extinguish the vehicle fire and cool down the neighboring house. Serious Crash Causes Closure On Busy Road In Northern Westchester Part of a well-traveled section of road in Northern Westchester is closed as police investigate a serious crash.  Route 9A southbound in Ossining is currently closed just north of Route 134, Ossining Police announced on Thursday, Aug. 22 around 1:45 p.m.  The roadway will be closed for an "extended period" as the department investigates a crash.  More information about the incident has not yet been released.  This is a developing story. Vehicle Catches On Fire On New Tappan Zee Bridge In Westchester, Impacts Traffic A vehicle fire impacted traffic on the new Tappan Zee Bridge off the shore of Westchester County.  The blaze happened on Thursday, Aug. 22 just before 11 a.m., when a truck caught on fire in the northbound lanes of I-87 on the bridge near the Tarrytown shore, according to the New York State Thruway Authority.  The incident temporarily caused the left lane to be completely blocked.
