95-Year-Old Woman Sets Climbing Record at The Adventure Park In Bridgeport FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Once again, a new record has been set by a climber at The Adventure Parks of Outdoor Ventures — the popular zip line and ropes courses currently operating in six states — including one in Bridgeport. Half Marathon In South Norwalk Caters To Broad Range Of Runners NORWALK, Conn. -- Shannon and James Whipple wanted to bring a road race to Norwalk that catered to a broad range of runners. Saturday’s SoNo Half Marathon appears to have done just that. The Norwalk natives are the race directors for the first year race, which also includes a 5k and kids fun run. The half marathon steps off at 9 a.m. at Veterans Park in South Norwalk. Interest built for the races from the outset.
