Norwalk Quilt Shop Prepares Special Gifts For Military Veterans NORWALK, Conn. -- Christie's Quilting Boutique in Norwalk will present military veterans with Quilts of Valor on Saturday. The presentation will be held at noon at the store, located at 176 Main St. in Norwalk. Christie Ruiz and women who visit her shop volunteered to make the quilts. They will present the quilts to veterans, most of whom live in Fairfield County. Quilts of Valor is a nonprofit foundation that was founded in 2003 and set out with a goal of “making quilts that would heal and comfort our war wounded,” according to its website. Bethel Preschoolers Dance The Night Away At Pint-Sized Prom BETHEL, Conn. -- May is prom season for area schools, and that included a magical night for some preschool students in Bethel at a pint-sized event prepared just for them. Girls and boys ages 3 to 5 wore fancy dresses, handsome suits, painted nails and dolled-up hair last Thursday for the prom at Bethel High School. Pascack Valley Teen Shares Eating Disorder Struggles To Help Others RIVER VALE, N.J. -- Valery Berenshtein of River Vale fought valiantly against anorexia and bulimia as it spiraled out of control before concluding her life was at risk. Now, the Pascack Valley High School junior shares her story so that other young girls do not find themselves fighting a similar battle.
