Girl, 8, Struck By Car In Newark: Police An 8-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle in Newark on the afternoon of Thursday, Jan. 11, authorities said. At 3:03 p.m., police responded to Broadway and 2nd Avenue and transported the girl to University Hospital for treatment, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
