Public Park Torn Up By ATVs, Dirt-Bikes In Yonkers: Suspects At Large Police are searching for suspects who damaged a park in Westchester that was already under renovation by driving all-terrain vehicles and dirt bikes over a field, leaving a number of tread marks. The incident happened over Memorial Day weekend at Redmond Park in Yonkers on Cook Avenue, Yonkers Police reported on Tuesday, May 30. New Chick-fil-A To Open Along NY Thruway In Hastings-On-Hudson Iconic fast food chain Chick-fil-A is planning to open a third location in Westchester that will be perfect for hungry commuters who have built up an appetite. The new location will soon open along the New York Thruway (Interstate 87) in Hastings-on-Hudson at the Ardsley Travel Plaza at Mile 6, according to Chick-fil-A. Blaze Rips Through Cortlandt Home On Memorial Day A raging house fire kept firefighters busy for nearly three hours on Memorial Day and left a Northern Westchester residence severely damaged. The blaze happened on Monday afternoon, May 29 at a residence in Cortlandt on Maple Avenue, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Crews took nearly three hours to put the fire out, requiring reinforcements to arrive with cold drinks for the tired firefighters. The blaze left the structure of the residence blackened. Luckily though, no injuries were reported.

Shot Fired In Trumbull Mall: Teen Arrested, Second Suspect At Large A shooting incident in a Fairfield County mall has resulted in the arrest of one teenager and an ongoing search for a second teenage suspect, police said. Antonio Vargas, age 16, has been missing from Bridgeport since Tuesday, May 16, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Rollover Crash: Person Hospitalized, Main Road Closed In Somers A vehicle rollover in Northern Westchester left one person hospitalized and caused a main road to be briefly closed to traffic. The crash happened on Saturday, May 27 around 3 p.m., when first responders in Somers were sent to Route 139 between Plumbrook Road and Van Rensselaer Road for a reported vehicle rollover, according to the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.
