Dog Struck By Car In Route 4 In Hackensack Almost Ready For Adoption
A dog hit by a car earlier this month on Route 4 is nearly ready for a fur-ever family. Stella was struck by the vehicle in Hackensack on Oct. 13 and taken to Oradell Animal Hospital, where she was treated for broken ribs and a fractured pelvis. Stella has been transferred to the Bergen County Animal Shelter in Teterboro, where officials said she needs between four and six more weeks of recovery time before she can be adopted out. Fighter Jets To Fly Over MetLife Stadium For Navy Vs. Notre Dame Football Game
The fleet of fighter jets that many people heard and saw as they flew into Teterboro Airport on Friday, Oct. 25 are expected to fly over MetLife Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 26. Five F/A-18s will be up in the air over the East Rutherford stadium just before kickoff, set for noontime, local police said. Wanted Man With Meth Crossing Route 23 Found With Meth, Refuses Jail Again: Cops
A man who told Wayne police officers he didn't want to go back to jail will be doing just that. Officers Michael Mc Laughlin and Eric Cueva were patrolling near the Willowbrook Mall around 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 21, when they saw a man later identified as Michael J. Brown walk across all lanes of Route 23 near TGIFriday's, police said in a news release. The officers stopped Brown and informed him of the traffic violation. One of the New Jersey State Police Department's highest-ranking troopers is being investigated over remarks he allegedly made about the state's attorney general, the general himself confirmed. Matthew Platkin issued a brief statement about the investigation of Lt. Colonel Sean Kilcomons following a news report published by the New York Post, which alleges Kilcommons referred to Platkin as "that Jew."
