Pilla Decides Not To Seek Re-Election As Mayor Of Port Chester
PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Port Chester Mayor Dennis Pilla, whose term ends this year, has decided not to run for re-election, according to Port Chester Local.
Former Village Clerk and Manager Richard “Fritz” Falanka, a Port Chester native, is currently the only mayoral candidate and has been endorsed by village Republicans, according to Port Chester Local.
Pilla was elected mayor in 2007 by lost a re-election campaign in 2013. In 2015, Pilla regained his seat, defeating Republican village Trustee Gene Ceccarelli, according to Port Chester Local.
