State Sen. Serino Visits Kent Library, Reads To Children PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- State Senr Sue Serino read a book about firefighters to children Oct. 8 at the Kent Public Library. "We are very grateful to Sue Serino" said library director Carol Donick.  Serino recently sponsored Kent Public Library for $4,000 in state aid. The money will be spent on a portable public address system, computers and new furniture for the children's area.  Library board members M. Chris Marrone, Florence Ratti, Michael Mahoney and Marty Collins gave Serino a tour and discussed the library's programs and services with her.

Jesuit Philosopher Pierre Teilhard De Chardin's Grave In Hyde Park HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- The gravesite of renowned Jesuit philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin is open to the public.  The Culinary Institute of America currently owns the property. Campus visitors can obtain a key to the cemetery from the Campus Safety office to see his grave.
