No Criminal Charges Will Be Filed Against Engineer In Fatal 2013 Derailment
PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- William Rockefeller, the sleep-deprived engineer in the December 2013 fatal train derailment, is not going to face criminal charges, according to nbcnewyork.com.
In October 2014, the National Transportation Safety Board released documents stating Rockefeller had exceeded the speed limit at least 14 times in the week previous to the train derailment, which occurred in the Bronx, killing four people and injuring more than 70.
