Pit Bull Found Tied To Fence Near Garden State Parkway, Shelter Says A female pit bull was found tied to a fence near the Garden State Parkway, and an animal shelter is trying to find out where she came from. The dog was found on Summit Avenue near the parkway entrance in Bloomfield on Tuesday night, Sept. 8, according to the Bloomfield Animal Shelter. She had no collar, identification tags, or microchip, the shelter said. The shelter is now seeking information about the dog's origin or anyone who may know how she ended up tied to the fence. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bloomfield Animal Shelter at 973-748-0194.
