Two Charged With Assault In Cortlandt

CORTLANDT, N.Y. – Two men are facing assault charges in the Town of Cortlandt.

Joseph Velders, 19, of Yorktown Heights was charged with misdemeanor assault in an incident that occurred just after midnight Sunday, Aug. 19, in Croton.

In a separate incident about 5 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, Robert J. Dagnino, 65, of Cortlandt Manor was charged with misdemeanor assault.

The following items also were reported by the New York State Police:

Criminal Mischief: Matthew S. Bohn, 44, of Cortlandt was charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief in an incident that occurred about 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, in Cortlandt.

Criminal Contempt: Jack Bakmezian, 20, of Cortlandt was charged with misdemeanor criminal contempt in an incident that occurred about 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17.

Bail Jumping: Sandra L. Walton, 29, of Peekskill was charged with misdemeanor bail jumping about 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17.

Petty Larceny: Keisha K. Gentles, 36, of the Bronx was charged with misdemeanor petty larceny in an incident that occurred about 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, in Cortlandt.

Petty Larceny: Joseph Dekrell, 18, of Cortlandt Manor was charged with misdemeanor petty larceny in an incident that occurred about 6:40 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16. In the same incident two male teenagers were also charged with misdemeanor petty larceny.
