Croton Deli Sells Winning $18 Million Lotto Ticket

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – A winning lottery ticket worth $18 million was sold in Croton's Riverside Deli, 2042 Albany Post Road, but the winner has yet to come forward, New York Lottery officials said.

"Who's the winner? I have no idea. Of course it's good, it's something good for the store," said Victor Tewfick, 33-year co-owner of the deli with his wife Mervat.

Tewfick said he has many customers from the nearby veterans hospital in Montrose, and also from the senior citizens community, but is unsure of who could have possibly won the ticket.

"All I know is the agency today, she came and she put this display in the front of the store, we got a lotto winner," said Tewfick, adding that he is waiting on a larger sign to arrive at the store from lottery officials.

The winning lottery numbers are 6-10-19-22-37-43 with 13 as a bonus number. The winner matched the first six numbers.

The next lottery jackpot will be $3 million, drawings are on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
